* Please note that point number (12) covers the following items :
All operations handled as from time of drop-off container at yard up till time receivers un-stuffing container and collecting their cargo / container from yard , such as :
- checking cargo
- moving container from yard to other yard
- charges at gates or yards
- lifting container from third tier for checking cargo
- gate-in and gate-out.
General Conditions and terms
1- In case of line/agents request for ACCHCO to prepare loading/discharging plans, a 5% of the total amount of loading/discharging operations will charged to the requesting party.
2- In case of amendment of loading plan during vessel’s operation, line will be charged for USD1000.00 (One thousand) in addition to USD5.00 (five) per teu for each additional unit added to the original loading plan. The original loading plan cut-off time is 6 hours before vessel’s berthing time.
3- For geared vessels with containers stowed horizontally, the ship is allowed to discharge or load those containers using ship’s cranes and shipping line will be charged for 77% of the tariff for discharge/load nominated in item no.1 of this general tariff.
4- In case ACCHCO allowed handling of containers and cargo for RO/RO and ferry ships using ship’s cranes from/to the lower end of ship’s scaffold, line will be charged for 70% of the discharge/load tariff nominated in item no. 1 of the general tariff.
5- In case receipt of containers overland using trains or trucks, line will be charged as follows:
A- Trains: Article no. 1 of general tariff to be fully applied.
B- Trucks: 55% of amount in item no. 1 of general tariff to apply.
6- For equipment on wheels discharged from RO/RO vessels up to the lower end of ship’s scaffold and which will be withdrawn directly out of terminal, line will be charged 35% of the nominated item in general tariff.
7- In case master of vessel requested to operate in public holidays, ship’s operator will be charged for additional 25% of the nominated item in general tariff.
8- Vessels must leave terminal’s quays immediately upon completion of discharging/loading operations (provided availability of port services and convenient weather conditions) within maximum 2 hours of completing operations, thereafter vessel will be charged for a fine of USD1000.00 (one thousand) per delayed hour.
9- If work was delayed due to a reason related to vessel during its operations for more than one hour, vessel will be charged for a fine of USD1000.00 (one thousand) for each stoppage hour after the first one and a fraction of an hour will be calculated as one full hour.
10- A surcharge of additional 15% of item no. 1 in general tariff will be applied for vesseles without seal guide / non cellular vessels which will be increased to 25% after one year.
11- Imported/exported containers are granted the following free of storage time:
- 5 days for full imported containers
- 5 days for full exported containers
- 5 days for empty containers
Containers imported to final destination public or private warehouse where final custom clearance will take place out of the terminal will not enjoy any free storage time.
12- Containers with Egyptian origin exports will be granted 50% reduction on the loading charges nominated in item no. 1 of the general tariff.
13- In case customer/agents requested transportation of a container to the radioactivity check zone, USD30.00 (thirty) per teu will be charged to the requesting party.
14- In case printed computer reports were requested by lines/agents, USD30.00 (thirty) per report will be charged to requesting party.
15- If additional operations required (lift on/lift off) other than items mentioned in general tariff, cost will be USD10.00 (ten) for full teu and USD8.00 (eight) for empty teu.
16- Any special operation not covered by items mentioned in general tariff should be agreed in advance with shipping lines/agents.
17- ACCHCO board of directors after coordination with Alexandria maritime holding co., and according to company’s operating circumstances have the right to sign special agreements with shipping lines dealing in transshipment activities, such agreements may include percentage of reduction in containers handling cost nominated in general tariff' according to the total volume of handled containers.
18- Upon a request from shipping lines agents, ACCHCO board of directors have the right to consider exemption or reduction of fines applied to ships due to delay in leaving the quay or work delay as per items 8 and 9 of general conditions and terms after studying the reasons for such delay.
19- ACCHCO board of directors have the right to agree with shipping lines to allocate certain stacking area for their empty containers as per the following cost calculation

20- Shipping lines will be granted the following gradual discount for the number of foreign trade achieved per annum.

And calculation will based on the sum of containers discharged in both Alexandriaand Dekheila ports.
21- When dealing with Egyptian importers/exporters payments will be in Egyptian currency as per rate of exchange to US Dollars on the day of providing the service, except for services provided to shipping lines, which will be charged in US Dollars.
22- Payments collected for account of other competent authorities will be added to the nominated items in the general tariff, and also VAT except for exports of Egyptian origin.
23- An annual increase of 10% will be added to items of the general tariff with the possibility of re-consideration of same according to economical situation of ACCHC and the average increase in prices.
