6th Trans Middle East 2010

We are delighted to announce that the largest Ports, Shipping and Transport Logistics Exhibition and Conference B2B trade event in the Middle East called The 6th Trans Middle East 2010 Exhibtion and Conference has taken place - for the first time - in the beautiful and historical maritime city of Alexandria, Egypt at the luxurious 5 star Hilton Alexandria Green Plaza on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 November 2010.

 

A 2 days Conference featured 35 world-class ports, shipping and logistics business leaders who analysed latest global container transportation and logistics issues in the Middle East and its impact on global shipping and trade.

The event was attended by a gathering of 500 senior executive attendees from over 20 countries consisting of the world's leading shipping lines, shippers, cargo owners, importers / exporters, freight forwarders, logistics companies, container ports, container terminal operating companies, container port equipment and services suppliers.

There has been a concurrent 2 days Trade Exhibition of 70 international companies showcasing latest container & logistics handling technology and services.

Before the event a Technical Site Visit on Wednesday 22 November 2010 has been arranged to Alexandria port. About forty conference participants visited Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Company for presentation by Admiral Ahmed Mansour ELAraby followed by Terminal tour.

 
 

During the 2 days conference Admiral Ahmed has held many business meetings.Admiral Ahmed was one of the speakers in the conference.He gave a presentation about "Benchmarking Container terminals performance".

It was one of the most useful presentations given during the session as was evident from the comment of Admiral Essam El Din Badawy, secretary General, Arab Seaports Federation, Egypt the chairman of the session.
